Meet the Team

Alex’s background is in consulting, law, operations, and investing. With a JD-MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Alex specialized in entrepreneurship and real estate. Those interests and a passion for operations brought him to entrepreneurship through acquisitions and small company investing.

Alex has overseen multi-billion dollar investment portfolios with public and private investment companies. His experience includes overseeing the West Coast business of Jamestown, a vertically integrated investment management company.

At Grayacre Capital, Alex oversees investments, with a particular interest in companies serving the commercial real estate industry, niche B2B manufacturing and distribution businesses, and print/service companies. Key investments he has lead include Grayacre Capital’s investment into an RFID, warehouse management, and print software company that has grown quickly through organic initiatives and inorganic add-on acquisitions. Other investments include a clean room air filtration company (successfully exited and a tech based mining business (ongoing).
